Come one, come all…for open pickleball! All abilities welcome. The open pickleball $30 spring paddle band is your ticket to playing pickleball on the new KMHS pickleball courts all spring. Spring session runs April 1-June 7. Sessions will run when there are NO KMHS boys tennis matches from 6-8pm. This will include the majority of M/W, and additional available TU/TH dates will be communicated to all registered participants. Final schedule based on boys tennis will be emailed to participants in March. (Note: When any in-season make-up HS tennis matches are rescheduled, pickleball band holders will receive an email to let them know that the evening session is canceled or will have a late start.)
KMTA will monitor open pickleball sessions and check bands daily. Play is open for beginner to advanced as courts will be leveled for beginner and competitive play. Nets and balls will be provided.
The Spring Pickleball band is $30 and limited to the first 150 registrants.
A paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. The Basics: 1. A fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping pong. 2. Played both indoors and outdoors on badminton-sized court and a slightly modfified tennis net. 3. Played with a paddle and plastic ball. Courts will be separated by beginning and intermediate play. Intermediate/advanced levels may be combined depending on enrollment. Participants must supply own paddle.
