Come one, come all…for open pickleball! All abilities welcome. The open pickleball paddle band is your ticket to playing pickleball on the new KMHS pickleball courts! The courts will be available for 2 sessions, M-F 6:30am-7:50am ($50) and M-TH 6pm-8:30+pm ($100). Purchase both bands for $150 to have access to morning and evening pickleball all week. One of the only ways to play weekday pickleball at KMHS this summer is with the open pickleball paddle band, and it is limited to the first 150 registrants for the morning session and 150 registrants for the evening session.
KMTA will monitor open pickleball sessions and check bands daily. Play is open for beginner to advanced as courts will be leveled for beginner and competitive play. Nets and balls will be provided. Sessions run June 10-August 2. No organized play the week of July 1-5.
A paddle sport created for all ages and skill levels. The rules are simple and the game is easy for beginners to learn, but can develop into a quick, fast-paced, competitive game for experienced players. The Basics: 1. A fun sport that combines many elements of tennis, badminton and ping pong. 2. Played both indoors and outdoors on badminton-sized court and a slightly modfified tennis net. 3. Played with a paddle and plastic ball. Courts will be separated by beginning and intermediate play. Intermediate/advanced levels may be combined depending on enrollment. Participants must supply own paddle.
